If you reside in a villa/townhouse:

Check with your compound management and/or landlord to ensure that you have obtained the necessary approvals before installing a charger.

If you reside in a villa/townhouse:

Locate the load schedule, which is usually placed within your home distribution board.
The load schedule is important for the installer during your home inspection visit to analyze the distribution of power in your home.

If you reside in an apartment:

Check with your property management and/or landlord to ensure that you have obtained the necessary approvals before installing a charger.

Site Inspection

It is important to discuss the overall layout and design of your home charger setup with the charger installer during the home inspection visit.
This includes the location and position of the charger, type and color of trunking to be used, external or internal cabling, and any other design elements.

Power Capacity Check

Using a certified installer or compound engineer, check if your residence can support a 7kW, 11kW, or 22kW charger depending on your home’s available power capacity.

Precautions:

If you want to consider a different installer, it is important to verify whether your selected charger installer is approved and certified by the local authorities.

Governmental Approvals

It is important to ensure that you have obtained the appropriate government approvals (if required) before proceeding with the installation of your home charger.

Installation Timing

It is recommended to have your charger installation scheduled either on the day of delivery of your EV or immediately after the arrival of your EV.
This is to check and ensure the charger is installed and operating successfully with your EV.
